Left me shattered

My eyes are desperate,
They want it to come out,
But I guess it has dried up inside,
Or maybe, it doesn’t want to face this world.

My head is heavy,
For all the sins I have done
Are asking me for a payback,
Its time I go for redemption.

My heart is pounding,
It was hurt before,
But this time it is abrupt,
Unbearable was the pain.

I knew it was coming,
I was just too carried away,
I refused to see it,
I expected the unexpected.

But now, it has happened,
It has left me shattered,
I am trying to get myself together,
But I guess the pieces are too small,
No matter how hard I am going to try,
There will be missing pieces,
Cause once broke,
It is never the same again.

I wait for the spring,
My last hope,
For a new life,
For optimism,
To move on,
To get along.
